Nikita Gandhi Lifts MasterChef India Season 4 Winner’s Trophy

nikita newNew Delhi, Sunday, April 12 – India got their fourth MasterChef on Sunday in the form of Nikita Gandhi. The cookery show aired on January 26, 2015, lasted for almost two-and-a-half months.

The knowledge of good flavors, dedicated efforts, approach to learn new things, the attitude of not giving up in the difficult situations and applying the lately learned techniques made Nikita Gandhi, Neha Deepak Shah and Bhakti Arora Manekar reach the final spot and get the chef coats before the finals.

Difficulty level increased after each challenge but the young home cooks stood out every time. In the grand finale, a totally new face of MasterChef’s three finalists was seen as the girls shook a leg on the stage on different songs of Bollywood.

The performance was witnessed by hundreds of people. Parents and sister of Nikita were extremely proud to see her to at this platform. Bhakti’s husband and parent came to support her. Neha’s father and mother also arrived to encourage their daughter. At the end, it was Nikita’s efforts that paid off. She got the gold chef coat, rupee 1 crore and the winner’s trophy.

The finale, as told earlier, was a starry affair. Gurmeet Choudhary with wife Debina Bonnerjee performed on ‘dance basanti’. Masterchef season 3 winner Ripu Daman Handa and Shivangi also entertained the audience. Gorgeous Preity Zinta, dancer and choreographer Marzi Pestonji and writer Chetan Bhagat marked their appearances to promote ‘Nach Baliye 7’.

Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan were also among the guests as the actors promoted ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, which will soon be released in the city screens. India’s best chefs Sanjeev Khanna, Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, along with kitchen stars who qualified for top 12, surprised everyone by presenting a song. Siddharth Sagar grabbed eyeballs for playing ‘mausi’, a fictional character in Comedy Classes, and future contestant of Nach Baliye. Raghu Ram hosted the MasterChef finale which was watched across the world by a number of viewers.

MasterChef India Season 4 was unique in different regards as only vegetarian dishes were prepared, proving the world that lip-smacking cuisines can be made in bigger competition like MasterChef with some unpredictable twists and innovative ideas. In 11 weeks, talented home cooks got a platform to let everyone be familiar with their potential and at the end it was three Neha, Bhakti and Nikita who vied for glory. The managing director of Amul gave the ladies the gold medals. The 21-year-old Nikita was on cloud 9 and in an absolute state of shock after being declared winner. Neha held the second spot and got INR 10,00,000 and a trip to London while Bhakti received INR 5,00,000.
