Daylight Murder of Software Engineer in Noida Takes Mob by Surprise; Leaves behind Several Questions Unanswered

murderNew Delhi, Wednesday, April 15 – Ankit Chauhan, a 27-year-old software engineer, was murdered in daylight in Noida sector- 67 a couple of days ago. The TCS employee was returning post meeting his wife Amisha at her office in sector – 135. Ankit was on the way to his home with his friend Gagan when he noticed a few people following him.

He called one of his relatives and informed about the same but before all details were furnished, a gunman shot three bullets in a row. The first bullet hit his Toyota Fortuner, taking Ankit by surprise but before he could have understood anything else, two gunshots, which were struck closely, took his life.

As per available reports, the culprits followed Ankit for about 10 to 15 kilometers and tried to overtake his car many a times. This shows they wanted to kill the techie at any cost. Gagan who was sitting next to Ankit failed to understand what exactly happened as the two had almost reached to victim’s house located in Prateek Wisteria Complex in sector 77.

Since he didn’t know how to drive a car, he sought help from the onlookers. A passer-by helped him and took Chauhan to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. The incident took place in the busy street of Noida where several offices are based.

Ankit and his spouse, employed at Accenture, tied the wedding knot in March 2015. This shocking episode left Amisha and all family members in a state of shock. Ankit’s parents were inconsolable. People are unable to understand how and why attackers gathered the courage to shoot a young man whose life has just started. Cops are probing all angles to reach the offenders, who are still at large.
